Ingredients
- For the Stewed Apples:
- 1 1/2 lbs. (675 g) apples, peeled, halved and cored
- 1 cup (8 fl oz or 250 ml) water
- 1/3 cup (2.7 oz or 75 g) brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon (2 g) ground cinnamon
- For the Crumble:
- 4 ounces (120 g) cold grass-fed butter
- 4 ounces (120 g) flour
- 3 ounces (85 g) ground almonds
- 3 ounces (85 g) oats
- 1/3 cup (2.7 oz or 75 g) brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon (2 g) cinnamon powder
- pinch of salt
Directions
- 1Preheat your Air Fryer to 360 F (180 C).
- 2Cut the apples into small pieces.
- 3In a large saucepan, heat 3/4 cup of water and bring to a simmer. Add the apple chunks, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook, stirring for about 10 minutes or until apples are softened and sauce has become thick. Set aside.
- 4In a food processor, process all ingredients for the crumble until combined well and the texture turns crumbly.
- 5Place the stewed apples into a baking dish that can fit into the Air Fryer cooking basket. Then, top apples with crumble mixture. Cook for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool.
- 6Divide among individual bowls.
