Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds (675 g) apples, peeled, halved and cored
- 1 cup (8 oz or 250 ml) water
- 1/3 cup (2.7 oz or 75 g) brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (2 fl oz or 60 ml) lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon (2 g) ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon (0.5 g) ground nutmeg
- For the Crumble:
- 4 ounces (120 g) melted butter
- 4 ounces (120 g) all-purpose flour
- 4 ounces (120 g) rolled oats
- 1/3 cup (2.7 oz or 75 g) brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon (2 g) cinnamon powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (0.5 g) ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.5 g) salt
Directions
- 1Thinly slice the apples.
- 2In a medium pot, heat 1 cup of water and bring to a simmer. Add the apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook, stirring occasionally for about 15 minutes or until apples are softened and sauce has become thickened. Set aside.
- 3Place all ingredients for the crumble in a food processor. Process until combined well and it becomes crumbly.
- 4Preheat your Air Fryer to 360 F (180 C).
- 5Drain and place the cooked apples into a baking dish that can fit inside your Air Fryer basket. Top apples with the crumble mixture. Cook for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool.
- 6Serve and enjoy.
