Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (3 oz or 85 g) onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon (3 g) garlic, minced
- 1 lb. (450 g) lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup (3.5 oz or 100 g) breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup (15 g) fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) ground coriander seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (0.5 g) ground black pepper
- 1 (2 oz or 60 g) whole egg
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) Worcestershire sauce
- Spicy Red Sauce:
- 2/3 cup (5.8 oz 165 g) tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons (1 fl oz or 30 ml) beef stock
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) chili powder
- salt and pepper
Directions
- 1Combine all ingredients together in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly.
- 2Take about 2 tablespoons of mixture and shape into small balls.
- 3Preheat your Air Fryer to 330 F (165 C).
- 4Place the meatballs in the Air Fryer basket and cook for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
- 5Meanwhile, combine the tomato sauce, stock, sugar, paprika, and chili powder in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook further 5 minutes, stirring ocassionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add the cooked meatballs and stir to coat with sauce.
- 6Transfer meatballs into a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped green onion (optional).
