Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (3 oz or 85 g) onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon (3 g) garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. (450 g) lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup (3.5 oz or 100 g) breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup (15 g) fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) ground coriander seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (0.5 g) ground black pepper
  • 1 (2 oz or 60 g) whole egg
  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • Spicy Red Sauce:
  • 2/3 cup (5.8 oz 165 g) tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (1 fl oz or 30 ml) beef stock
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) chili powder
  • salt and pepper

Directions

  • 1Combine all ingredients together in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly.
  • 2Take about 2 tablespoons of mixture and shape into small balls.
  • 3Preheat your Air Fryer to 330 F (165 C).
  • 4Place the meatballs in the Air Fryer basket and cook for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
  • 5Meanwhile, combine the tomato sauce, stock, sugar, paprika, and chili powder in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook further 5 minutes, stirring ocassionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add the cooked meatballs and stir to coat with sauce.
  • 6Transfer meatballs into a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped green onion (optional).
